The last weekend of August, the Mach 2.2 association organized the trophy Caroline Aigle. For reminder or infor- mation, Caroline was the first woman pilot of French hunting to be affected within a squadron of fight.
After Polytechnique, she obtained her pilot's licence of hunting in 24 years. She died of cancer in 33 years. It is to pay her tribute that this competition is organized to Saint-Yan.
Eleven crews for the challenge
For this chalenge, the pilots have to make twice two flights, one of compulsory figures, other one of a free program, with every types of small-scale models equipped with turbojet engine(s). The flights are noted and only two better notes are held for the prize list.

Considering the announced heat wave, some teams withdrew the eleven competitors, whom an Italian crew, put themselves on the starting line. For the president of the association, Eric Colin: "the championship is excellent. The profile of the pilots is in clear progress with years. The models of jet are more and more finished, representing to the closer their models, details are very elaborate. On the other hand, technically, they reached a very good level of reliability. She is not to be anymore demonstrated to the point to oblige the supervisors to call back safety instructions."
Le jury
The trophy allows each to know its level and the judges Pierre Bertrem, Laurent Guillory and Jean-Philippe Laugier appreciated the acrobatics in their just value. They are experimen- ted men because they are recogni- zed by the even international and federal levels.
Certain pilots, affiliated to the IJMC, had appeared because for them: "it is an excellent training" Jean-Pierre Fillon, the president of this association, commented.
