It is on a beautiful spring day, the day after Easter, that appeared the light helicopter Robinson R22 offered to the High school Astier, of Paray-le-Monial, by the Regional council of Burgundy. It was welcomed by Suzanne Chevrot, director, and the professors and the pupils of the classes of section " aeronautical option systems - airframe ".
This thing, in excellent state, which finished its décadaire time but not its number of hours of flight authorized by the regulations, was delivered by his pilot owner who for walked around with the students. This type of helicopter produced by the American company Robinson Helicopter since 1979. The delivered model is of the type Beta II. It is equipped with a semi-rigid two-bladed main rotor and a two-bladed tail rotor, with a leading piston motor Lycoming, with four cylinders cooled by air. It will allow the trainee mechanics to work on a system of rotor and, so, to complete their training for BAC PRO aeronautical option systems - airframe and aeronautics general aviation. This last section prepares the students for the degree B3.
The institution was approved PART 147 degree B3 by the Agency of Safety of the Civil aviation ( OSAC). This training will allow the graduates of the High school Astier to have two years of experience, thus to be capable of one to find a job at the exit of the school.
